Appearing in "Big Fat Alien Wedding", Joel is Max's muscular nephew and a fellow member of the Plumbers. Having developed a relationship with an alien Sludge named Camille (despite there being a war between the Plumbers and Sludges for years), Joel marries her in hopes of reaching a truce between the two sides. While the ceremony did not go as well as planned thanks to the bride's parents, the marriage was made successfully with the Tennysons' aid.

- Joel is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who later went on to voice some Ben in aliens Ben 10: Alien Force.
- Unlike his cousins, Carl & Frank, Joel is fully aware off The Plumbers & the existence of aliens. As an adult he joined The Plumbers, which lead to his meeting & falling in love with Sludge, Camille Mann.
